This course is the next step for students who have taken Intermediate Latin and are ready to implement their knowledge through translation. Henle Latin (Advanced) will focus on implementing both grammar and vocabulary along with mastery of translation. Students will learn about advanced grammatical concepts and gain more practice with translation. The goal of this course is to help students gradually transition from being students of grammar to becoming students of translation.

Prerequisite: Henle Latin, Part 4 (Intermediate) or equivalent. A placement exam is available by emailing [email protected].

Students will hone and deepen their knowledge of Latin syntax, grammar, and vocabulary. Students will discover by the end of this course that they are more confident in their translation abilities and will be able to identify syntax and grammar with more ease.
Part One will cover approximately the first 18 lessons in Henle Second Year Latin.
