Jenny Bales

Topic: Prayer & Peace for Busy Moms

About Jenny: Jenny is a Catholic homeschool mom of four incredibly unique kids, ages 10-20 who have been (or were) homeschooled all of their lives. Her 15+ years of homeschooling experience have made her passionate about encouraging, connecting, and equipping mothers through their Catholic homeschooling journeys both in her local community and online. Before having kids, she taught middle school Language Arts and ran Catholic youth retreats. Now, her Heart of a Mother Facebook group connects 5000 Catholic homeschooling moms from around the world to share their wisdom and experiences, and her growing consulting business has both one-on-one and group coaching options for Catholic homeschoolers through Bloom and the Sunroom, respectively. Jenny especially enjoys reflecting on all aspects of homeschooling through the lens of our incredible Catholic faith and would like to thank Homeschool Connections for this opportunity to share her heart with other mothers today. You can find her online at heartofamother.net and bloomhomeschooling.com.

Topic: “Am I enough? Am I doing Enough?”

About Paola: Paola Ciskanik is a wife, mother to seven grown children, and grandmother. All seven children launched into the world from her very real, and not perfect homeschool, the youngest leaving the nest in 2018. All seven have graduated from college, and are serving God with their unique gifts, from graphic designer to entrepreneur, to professional horticulturist to stay home mother, and more! Using the vast knowledge and experience she gained from founding the family business Emmanuel Books, a K-12 Catholic homeschool curriculum provider, and coaching hundreds of homeschooling families she is honored to spend her time serving the needs of families all over the world in the Catholic Homeschool Community, as its owner and host. In addition, she is the creator of the Catholic Homeschool Blueprint, a course designed for parents to acquire confidence and joy in the homeschool life!

Holly Vaughn

Holly Vaughn

Topic: Motivating Your Students

About Holly: Holly Vaughan has an extensive background in parish catechetical work. She has experience in catechesis with all ages, particularly with middle school, high school, and adult faith formation. She has not only taught, but been involved in curriculum creation for all of these ages, and is especially interested in creating classes that teach in the format developed by the Early Church Fathers, which roots everything we learn in Scripture.

After studying theology as an undergrad at the University of Dayton, she was accepted to the Master’s Program at Augustine Institute to study for her MA in Theology with a concentration in Sacred Scripture.  She has a special love for helping high school and young adult students grow in their faith, and for the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, both of which provide many opportunities to see people come alive as the teachings of our Catholic faith come alive for them in a new way.
